After going through the How to Win Friends and Influence People — Dale Carnegie. They are some fundamental rules to win people. The book has a lot of examples to share with us and every example has different lessons to gain audience attention or influencing people. The major way is to make people feel important and showing your interest in them. Some of the points are:

Say No to Criticism

Generosity and loyalty

Keen interest and Focus on them

Speak politely

No Criticism Policy

We should not criticize others upon things they are not master of doing. Everyone has some talent. He/She can do things which you can’t do, so what’s the point in criticizing them.

Generosity and Loyalty

Be generous with people to win them. We can show our generosity in many means like praising, offering our help, etc. We can offer our loyalty by standing with them in their difficult times and supporting them when nobody does.

Interest and focus

We can make others feel comfortable by showing your interest in them and focusing on who they are, what they want to tell you, what they are facing, etc. Everyone has things which he/she wants someone to listen, we should try to be that guy for them, to win and influence them.

Polite and nice

We should speak nicely and politely to make others comfortable. Words are lethal weapons if they are used intelligently and timely. Polite and nice words will be stuck in their heart and they will be yours.

Conclusion

Unfortunately, we believe that the person we are talking with is a fool and start making judgments about them. We should consider their circumstances and their perspectives before judging them. Everything has some price. If we want someone’s good qualities we need to accept the shortcomings they have because everybody has them. If you want yourself to be accepted and cared about, then start accepting and care about others.
