Thank you Lisa Gallagher for your openness and fortitude in sharing this profoundly heart-felt story. I’m very sorry for your loss and share my deepest condolences.

I agree we need to maximize our focus on positive thoughts and minimize the negative, especially during challenging — which include periods of grief. In hindsight, it appears that perhaps your mind was so preoccupied in helping your mother that the anxiety had no room to rear its head. Thus, keeping busy, thinking positive and helping others might be some of the keys to lessening anxiety. I don’t mean to sound like an “armchair psychologist,” but what do you think?
