Please Don’t Tell Me to ‘Move On’
Anne Peterson

My brother and I are the last two in our family also. I’ve been through grief many times. I’ve been through it alone and with love and support. With love and support is far better.

I remember a friend of mine came to the funeral home when my nephew died and apologized that she had to bring her small child with her and had to be there for such a short time and wasn’t dressed how she thought she should be. I didn’t care about those things. I cared that she loved me so much to show up climbing over her own personal discomforts just to give me a hug and make me know she loved me. I will never forget it.

Thanks for sharing. People who’ve not been through grief have no idea.
