How To Choose When You Do More Than One Thing In Art
Jessica Peterson

This article describes my entire life. I’ve always been juggling different areas. In high school I was a nerd, a jock and a band geek all rolled into one. Early in my career, I thought I had to stick to one area of publishing: editing. But the more books I edited, the more I came to believe that I could write just as well. So why not try? That then led to forming my own company, which has led to all kinds of juggling duties. But honestly, I wouldn’t trade the juggling for anything. It’s hard and as you say, balls get dropped. But overall, we get better the longer we practice. And the better we get, the more opportunities arise.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
