When you buy a digital collectible on the DC NFT Marketplace, you unlock more than an incredible artwork. You unlock a new journey. Whether it’s participating in community games (or crime sprees), gaining access to exclusive fan experiences, or helping to shape the story of an official DC Comic: each collectible opens up a new chapter in your own story.
There are countless secrets to uncover within the DC NFT Universe. But here’s a look at what’s been revealed so far: across a year’s worth of collections, clues, in-world experiences, and IRL events.
DC FanDome 2021 Storage Devices
Release Date: October 5, 2021
With millions of viewers tuning in, DC FanDome 2021 became the first large-scale virtual event with registration powered by NFTs. Fans were given a free NFT for DC FanDome registration, and a second NFT in exchange for sharing on Twitter. The open edition series features 5 DC characters and 3 rarity tiers, across iconic comic book covers spanning the breadth and diversity of DC’s history, selected by DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee.
Each collectible is a storage device, engraved with a code. To date, three layers of codewords have been decrypted. What they will reveal is still a mystery.
The Batman Collection
Release Date: March 8, 2022
Fans who purchased tickets and used their tickets to see The Batman at AMC theaters got the opportunity to redeem a free NFT collectible. The Batman Collection features 16 unique movie posters highlighting visuals from the film.
The DC Bat Cowl Collection
Release Date: April 26, 2022
Based on Batman’s iconic visage, The DC Bat Cowl Collection represents a watershed moment for NFTs: a large-scale generative 3D and AR art collection representing billions of permutations and unprecedented access for fans.
Starting in April, fans collected these Cowls: the first in-world DC wearable artifacts, each allowing for in-character interaction inside Gotham City. Batman invited holders to join Bat Faction and become part of Gotham City District Knightwatch.
Every 52 days, Bat Cowl holders benefit from new feature updates. Past feature updates have included a customized Bat Cowl Snap lens, comic book voting, holder-only channels, new NFTs (Sigils and Charms), exclusive video content from the Warner Bros. Archives, and exclusive access to screenings and events at NFT.NYC, New York Comic Con, and the chance to attend the world premiere of Black Adam.
The Gotham City District Knightwatch Sigil Collection
Release Date: May 30, 2022
Gotham City District Knightwatch Sigils dropped in May to honor Bat Cowl holders who collected within the initial purchase period. There are ten Sigil designs: each bears the unique iconography of its corresponding Gotham City neighborhood. Your Sigil, and your patrol, were assigned based on the serial number of your Bat Cowl.
Batman: The Legacy Cowl: Chapter 1
Release Date: June 30 — Ongoing
DC Bat Cowl holders have access to a unique feature: the ability to shape DC’s first collectible comic. Voting began on June 30th; over 20 votes, holders weighed in on everything from logline and title to cover art and last words. The result is Batman: The Legacy Cowl: Chapter 1, written by Dan Abnett, with original art by Pablo Collar, and cover art by Mikel Janin.
Over the years, Batman has designed various ‘specialist’ cowls for specific tasks. The Caped Crusader keeps them all secure in the Batcave. But when one goes missing, it’s up to all of you to help shape the hows, whats, and whys of the comic and tell the story of Batman’s newest mystery. It’s the STORY OF THE COWLS!
The cover NFT dropped to Bat Cowl holders on September 17th, coinciding with Batman Day 2022.
Gotham City District Knightwatch Mysteries: Season 1
Release Date: August 15, 2022
Starting in August, Gotham City District Knightwatch members began to receive updates from the Batcomputer. These alerts contained clues pertaining to ten mysteries unfolding across Gotham City. Bat Cowl holders were encouraged to help solve these cases; supporting reporters, police, and citizens. On September 19, all intrepid sleuths were asked to submit their solves,, and on September 26, the answers were revealed.
The Harley Quinn Freakin’ Awesome Boxes of Mayhem Collection
Release Date: September 29, 2022
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Harley Quinn’s first appearance, the Queen of Chaos has something special planned for fans. A party? A crime spree? Why not both.
On September 29, Bat Cowl holders gained early access to the 3D collection; on September 30th, the mint opened to the public. Within 4 hours, the 30K free collection minted out. Harley Quinn teased the world on social media and the Gotham City District Knightwatch with details of her upcoming “totally-not-a-crime-spree” until reveal day on October 14.
Holders with these collectibles in their collections joined Harley Quinn Crew — granting access to future experiences featuring the One n’ Only Harley Quinn.
The Harley Quinn Charm Offensive
Release Date: October 6, 2022
Well, Hell’s Belles. Harley Quinn had a little something extra planned for Gotham City District Knightwatch. On October 6th, Bat Cowl Holders were dropped a charm collectible. Each of the ten collectibles incorporates a 3D charm that references 30 years of Harley Quinn lore: from her beloved hammer, to favorite breakfast sandwich.
R.S.V.P. For Mayhem
Release Date: October 13, 2022
As part of the reveal day for the Harley Quinn’s Freakin’ Awesome Boxes of Mayhem Collection, a token-gated game, R.S.V.P. for Mayhem, invited Gothamites to pick a side: stand with Batman and the Gotham City District Knightwatch, or unleash expression and chaos with the Harley Quinn crew.
Players had 48 hours to help or hinder Harley Quinn’s heist.
Harley Quinn Crew led the GCDK on a merry chase to open the boxes at different parties throughout the city while Harley Quinn raided the Gotham Hall of Records and made off with historical records featuring herself, which she later distributed to Harley Quinn Crew: each of them was airdropped the DC3 edition of Harley Quinn (2000–2004) #1.
In the end, Harley Quinn and her crew defeated the GCDK and Batman. But Batman vowed that he would train the GCDK, so that their next confrontation would end differently…
DC Collectible Comics
Release Date: October 19, 2022
DC Collectible Comics (DC3) are NFTs minted on the Palm network, that give the holder ownership and access to a fully readable digital comic book.The very first DC3 was created with DC Bat Holders and released on September 17, 2022 — Batman: The Legacy Cowl — Chapter 1 .
DC3 collections feature modern comics with variant covers and classic titles with 5 tiers of rarity digitally graded by DC Art teams to simulate the grading classifications used to classify physical comic books.

With Batman and Nightwing locked in a battle with Brainiac during their search for the Legacy Cowl, a new villain, and a new superheroic ally join the adventure. Who can say what will happen next? DC Bat Cowl holders vote in real time while DC artists and writers create the next issue in this original Batman comic book series.
Gotham City District Maps — A Mysterious Intrusion
Release Date: January 18, 2023
On January 17, a series of events throughout Gotham City compromised municipal systems, banks, and more…The Batcomputer found records of this mysterious intrusion even attempting to access Batman’s core systems. The Batcomputer dropped 13 maps of Gotham City to the Gotham City District Knightwatch to get their assistance in determining the path of the intrusions, and to find clues about who might be responsible.
GCDK Crew Challenge: Masters of Gotham City
Release Date: March 1, 2023
The Gotham City District Knightwatch was put to the test to determine their knowledge of the streets they claim to patrol. While the GCDK has been patrolling the streets of Gotham City for almost a year, Batman decided it was time to test what they’d learned, and what they’d missed… providing the first opportunity to earn the rank of Master of Gotham City.

Harley Quinn Crew Challenge: Criminal, Psychology
Release Date: April 18, 2023
Harley Quinn reached out to her crew after months of lying low. Something strange was happening in Gotham City, and she needed to get the crew ready for anything. She’s got to determine which crew members she can bring into her Circle a’ Trust — and who has it in them to be a Numba Two. If her crew members were familiar with Harley Quinn’s history — this should’ve been a piece a’ explodin’ cake.
The Bat Cowl Collection: Year 1
Release Date: May 3, 2022
A look back at the first year of the Bat Cowl Collection. An opportunity to step inside Gotham City. Unprecedented behind-the-scenes access for fans… And the opportunity to create a new legacy for Batman in an original DC comic book series: Batman: The Legacy Cowl. This illustrative retrospective included the real-world stories of fans curated from hundreds of submissions.
And that brings us up to this very moment in time.
The Gotham City District Knightwatch and Harley Quinn Crew will be taking on challenges throughout 2023. Strange attacks are affecting systems throughout Gotham City — but who could be responsible? And most importantly: where will you start your journey?
