Morten Møller Warmedal joins the jury of DIG 2007

The famous Norvegian journalist will be part of the international jury of the DIG Awards 2017, chaired by Jeremy Scahill

After Jeremy Scahill and Maggie O’Kane, another great investigative journalist joins the jury of Dig Awards 2017. Morten Møller Warmedal, executive Editor at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, will be part of the international jury that will assess investigative videos, documentaries and pitches at the next investigative journalism festival in Riccione.

Møller Warmedal has extensive experience from a number of editorial, executive and management positions in broadcasting, print media and PR. He has worked as a reporter, associate editor, editor, producer, director, anchor and executive producer in such outlets as the Norwegian daily Aftenposten, TV Norge, Nyhetskanalen, TV 2 and the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). In NRK he has held numerous positions: executive producer and editor of their flagship weekly investigative program; producer and director of current affairs documentaries and documentary series; from 2010, executive editor of the Feature department; from 2014, executive editor of the new and broadened Documentary department.

He also made his experience available to young students who are interested in learning investigation secrets. Møller Warmedal, in fact, has taught journalism and investigative journalism at the Norwegian School of Management and the Volda University College.

He has received several national and international awards, both as reporter and producer and executive producer. Among them, the Norwegian SCOOP diploma (1999), the Norwegian TV award Gullruten and the NRK Journalism prize (2008). In 2014 he was the winner of Prix Italia, an international contest organized by Rai.
