Now many of my “Social Media” friends and family will probably see this hash tag ticker through their timeline and not give it a second thought as if it maybe unrelated. This is far from the truth because relationships are the foundation society.

Here is the very truth that has always existed spoken with vibrant color from one of the greatest, Smokey Robinson​. The sharing of this poem performed on an episode of Russell Simmons​’ Def Poetry Jam​ by Smokey couldn’t have resurfaced at a better time. When there is a need to understand the state of things in “Black” America and America as it stands because there is so much confusion clarity is needed. See some famous entertainers and musicians, religious leaders and politicians rarely comprehend the true nature of their position. They can choose to know things and hide behind them letting the population fend for themselves and play out like some deviant scene from Lord of the Flies or put that influence to use and really join “The People” by making sure that everything that can be known, is known.
