I want to proudly admit that, yes, I did listen to MØ in the early days of her career. I can still remember how great her music sounded back then.

And it still does. But it’s not about me.

I want to take a moment to talk about her development as an artist.

You can judge her & tell, that after „Lean On“ she’s become just another pop star. Her music might feel really easy & „poppy“ in a way — basic melodies and short „radio friendly styled“ songs.

And to be honest I had this though in my head as well. After hearing „Final Song“ I was kind of disappointed. I wanted her to go back to her old sound & just keep it that way forever.

The thing is that everybody develops in their lives — even if you’re trying not to — you will just get changed. You get older on the outside — but wiser on the inside. You’ve experienced so much throughout your life that — sometimes even subconsciously — change or develop your mind on the topics of life, such as love for instance.

And that’s where MØ is at — she’s took the next step forward. She’s not going to be this young innocent fresh pop girl in the industry anymore.

When you’re going in — there’s no way back.

Your name becomes a brand. And a certain quality.

Peace xx
