I recently read an article from Allan Ishac titled “ The Case For Making Hillary Clinton President — And Not Mike Pence — After Trump Is Impeached
14 sound, solid, and unassailable reasons why Hillary should assume the presidency once the Orange Accident exits
”. What caught my eye was the 14 sound solid and unassailable reasons part of the headline, I thought for once there would be well thought out arguments. How quickly my hopes were dashed. The beginning of the article was pure partisanship that quickly led to delusion. Not only does he stretch the constitutional authority of the 25th amendment in ways that Mr Fantastic would marvel at, but then he goes on to recite the same not my president drivel that we have been hearing since Donald Trump won. This reached its climax with the laughable statement that Hillary Clinton was the most qualified candidate in history. Very rarely do I feel the need to comment on other people’s works, this however I couldn’t resist. If for no other reason than to assail his unassailable reasons. What can I say challenge accepted.

First off though, I feel the need to lay to rest the most qualified remark. So we will start there. Hillary’s qualifications that make her so qualified are she was a very astute attorney in Arkansas, and first lady while Bill Clinton was Governor. Then she was the first lady while Bill Clinton was president. She was a Senator for New York for 8 years, She and Bill led the Clinton Foundation, Then she was Secretary of State. This on its face is a very impressive resume spanning almost 40 years of public service. In addition to this she helped Bill Clinton via the DLC to reform the DNC into the party it is today. Sadly, those that say that are only looking at one part of the picture. The other part of the picture is what makes her the least qualified. So let’s take a look at this part. Before I start though I would just like to say one thing. I have no love for Donald Trump. Had he kept the promises he made on the campaign trail, I would have no need to write this article. I will go on record now as saying if there is a Trump/ Hillary 2.0 at the next cycle it will be the strongest evidence of how badly Trump has failed as a president. I volunteered first for Bernie Sanders then Jill Stein, in prior elections I volunteered for Barack Obama both times and was, till the Obama presidency a lifelong democrat. I feel the need to say this just so it can be understood, I feel no great joy in writing this piece. My plan here is not to reiterate her entire legacy, that will be another article. My intention is more to bring the other side to life here as a secondary viewpoint. For instance Whitewater is old history, however history can teach us patterns, such as her cognitive abilities to remember germaine information. Such as saying I don’t recall or cannot remember 250 times in one interview session. The fact that a very savvy lawyer in a hearing for her future political aspirations, and her husbands current presidency, did either a very bad job preparing or had such a hard time under pressure should be concerning. I know that was in the past and she has had many years to get adjusted to the political spotlight. It wouldn’t happen today, right? Consider her meeting with the FBI on her email scandal where on 35 occasions she could not remember basic functions of her job as Secretary of State. Then when she was caught she said it was mistake that she would not do again, which is another thing which calls her judgement as well as memory into question. Especially when on June 20, 2007 she rightly excoriated the Bush cabinet for using private email servers, then two years later did the exact same thing. Then to justify it she said a member of the previous administration told her she could. Another repeated pattern is seizing, hiding or destroying information when the scandal comes out as can be seen from whitewater, the destruction of blackberries and computers prior to turning over to the fbi, the wipe of her home server using bleachbit after it was subpoenaed, and using white noise generators at an outdoor fundraising speech. Now it is possible all of these things are just a big misunderstanding and she is truly innocent. Even so it should be concerning that the “most qualified person” has such a bad memory and even worse judgement. You cannot have it both ways though.

Then he goes on to his unassailable reasons I will put his reasons in italics and my responses afterwards for ease of reading.

1). “Donald Trump became president with the aid of a hostile foreign power. He stole the election. That is a “high crime” and a felony under the Logan Act of 1799. He is an illegitimate and indictable president. A vulgar criminal who has no business occupying the Oval Office.”

Not only has this not been proven but it should be noted that when there were recounts done on the election actual all mistakes have benefitted Clinton. Then there is the democratic primary. Where in a report by Election Justice USA they documented direct evidence of Voter suppression, registration tampering, voter purges, fraudulent voter machine tallies and direct media and DNC collusion against Senator Sanders, all benefitting Hillary Clinton. In this statement we are supposed to believe that the Clinton machine that used these well documented tools to rig a primary suddenly turned them all over to Russia and Donald Trump to win the general. This stretches credibility to the point of willful suspension of disbelief.

Ok, so maybe they didn’t hack the election but there were the emails from guccifer 2.0 that hurt Hillary. This is a fair enough statement except:

A). The DNC emails showed election fraud, if there were no evidence of wrongdoing in the emails, they would not have had any resulting harm.

B). When the metadata was analyzed from the emails the files were shown to have been most likely copied internally to a flash drive. Also the findings by Crowdstrike have been debunked so soundly that even Crowdstrike had to walk them back.

2). “Hillary won the popular vote. She was the people’s choice by more than three million votes. Trump’s catastrophic, treasonous presidency only affirms and underlines the legitimacy of her win.”

In the election justice report, as I said before, it outlines a mountain of evidence of election fraud in the primary. However there isn’t really any evidence of that in the general that would speak to Hillary’s incredible 3 million vote lead over Donald Trump is there? Consider for a moment that during the primary California was only able to count about 25,000 vote by mail and provisional ballots a day and still had not certified the total count prior to the Democratic Convention. However, they were able to post millions more of these same ballots as counted in roughly a week. Also there is the strange case out of San Pedro, California that would at least cause one to question some of California’s voters tracking mechanisms especially when 80 ballots all packaged together under different names is mailed to the same address. It also makes one wonder how many more mistakes like that were made in light of a CBS2 investigation done that found dead voters that were still voting beyond the grave and the Project Veritas investigations.

3. “Donald Trump cheated his way to the presidency. If a team cheats in an athletic competition, the “B” team (in this case, Pence) does not automatically earn the win and get the medal. The victory goes to the opponent. That’s fair and equitable. The cheats take the defeat”.

In light of what I outlined above then this should mean we would be swearing in Bernie Sanders as the new president. Although I would have loved to see that, this is not a sports competition. This would mean throwing out the constitution and the lines of succession outlined in it.

4. “Trump’s vice-president, Mike Pence, knew about Russia’s collusion, influence, and interference in our election. Yet, he never blew the whistle or objected. Therefore, he is equally culpable. He is not entitled to be commander in chief when he is already the commander in cheat”.

This would leave us with (shuddering) Paul Ryan. No one wants that. Unless you are saying we should ratify a new constitutional amendment and back date it. This would be an even more horrible precedent then a Paul Ryan presidency.

5. “Elevating Hillary Clinton, the “runner-up” in the 2016 election, to president after Trumplethinskin leaves would be unprecedented in American history. But the way Donald Trump became president, colluding with the enemy to snatch victory, is also unprecedented. Therefore, a solution must fit the exceptional nature of the crime — it must be novel, dramatic, and also exceptional, so this never happens again. The heretofore anemic Democratic members of Congress must immediately propose Amendment 28 to the Constitution, prohibiting this exact sort of election thievery and punishing it in the severest of ways — by expelling the cheaters from the Oval Office and restoring the losing party to power. That would end this Trump style of election criminality permanently. Otherwise it will happen again”.

Repeat after me, there is only one party shown conclusively to have interfered in the 2016 presidential campaign and it was not the Republicans. The jury is still out on what Trump did or didn’t do, but not so much on Hillary. Also, doing what this suggests would guarantee something even worse. Anytime one or the other party didn’t like the results they would know if they cried foul long enough, whether there was proof or no, eventually they would get what they want.

Since the rest of the article is just reiteration of the above points I will not comment on the rest. If that is needed please let me know. Hillary lost the election due not to Putin, not to a vast right wing conspiracy, not because of Sanders/ Stein/ Comey. She lost because she was a horrible candidate with a considerable amount of baggage that she and her fans thought she could overcome by ignoring it. Yes it would be amazing to have a woman president and I so look forward to working on the campaign for one ( I’m looking at you Tulsi Gabbard). That being said haven’t we had enough of leaders who only want a position for how it benefits them? What is the point of being a leader if the country and the rest of the world is worse off for entrusting you with the position? Hillary is not responsible for the state of Washington today. She is a symptom of the disease, not the disease. Saying that though she has had many opportunities to make a principled stand and has only done so as it benefits her. Is this really the person we want to break that last glass ceiling and do we want her to do so by the artful smear she has made her primary weapon of choice for almost 40 years?
