You to some to be unable to distinguish evil you like from evil you don’t. Yes, tearing down a statue by force is pretty much EXACTLY equal to burning books to limit thoughts you don’t like and actions by the Taliban that ..well actually destroyed religious statues they did not like.
So basically you are saying that if someone does not believe in abortion, they should support the guy who decides that its OK to blow up an abortion clinic. Evil you like is OK but evil you dont is bad. I do like how you, and others like you, desire to lump anyone who does not think like you do as a KKK Nazi racist. “Your books and you can still meet in private.” ….good grief that is about as stupid as it gets. Still you inadvertently happen upon the point in spite of the stupidity….as an AMERICAN, ANYONE should be able to meet in PUBLIC peacefully and SAY whatever they want as long as it is not a call to illegal action. If you care to read a Constitution, its called “Freedom of Speech” and “Freedom to Assemble” and its why you need not fear someone knocking on your door for saying stupid things on the internet. Can you point me to the Right of “Freedom to assault someone who is saying things you disagree with”? I cant seem to find it.
I don’t care if the statues and flags get relegated to private museums but it should be a DEMOCRATIC process. Not the decision of a bunch of Brown Shirt thugs strong arming people who are too big of cowards to even show up without a mask.
