I have been familiar with the concept of HTML for a few years now, but really started learning the how-tos of HTML in the beginning of 2017. I’m good with some of the basic ideas and shortcuts, but still constantly look online to find ways to jazz up my projects. I thought it would be helpful to put some of these shortcuts and complex add-ons all in one blog post!

The first shortcut is one of the most basic HTML shortcuts around and in my mind, the best shortcuts around… tab!

Isn’t it frustrating to have to write opening and closing tags over and over again? In Sublime, Atom, and other text editors, using the “tab” button makes the opening and closing tags for you!

Want to have the capability to send an email via a link? HTML can help you!

This will open up your mail app and generate a blank email to notmyrealemail@gmail.com

One more HTML trick is to add “contenteditable=’true’” in a tag to make anything on your website editable

This would produce the string “Hello” on a website, but it is entirely editable.

There are plenty more cool HTML features and shortcuts that I’ll learn as I go along and will be sure to update this blog when I do! Pretty soon you’ll be able to do something like this!
