Queasy over the growing privatization of intellectual consultations on matters important to the social good?

So who else feels just the least bit queasy over the growing privatization of intellectual consultations on matters important to the social good? How do these paid-to-advise consultants address conflicts with corporate good, i.e., profits? Both for their clients and for themselves?

Below is verbatim quote from a job posting by Deloitte.

Deloitte’s Sustainability SGO expands on other organizations’ more traditional ESG endeavors by centering our services, investments, and corporate allyship to meet the needs of people, our planet, and a prosperous future.”

I call out the phrase “corporate allyship” — what is this? Who are the enemies of the allies?

Is it those who would stand in the way of or just blatantly question their fairytale “win-win-win” vision for meeting the “needs of people, our planet, and a prosperous future?” All done under the cloak of NDA darkness and golden handcuffs. Nothing to question here, right?
