We all look for that supplement or magic pill that will make us fitter,stronger or lose weight faster.The reality is that there is no such thing as a magic pill that will do such things.The fitness industry has gone so broad and big that there is so much out there in regards to supplements that people either don’t know what to do or simply are taking supplements for their goals that they either do not need or know why they are taking them.Have you ever wondered why you take certain supplements and what do they do?

Don’t stress over it,you really don’t need to. We here at DSFitness365 are going to give you the rundown on certain supplements that can be used on a daily basis that will help you with both your goals be it fat loss,strenght and size or simply general health.

We here at DSFitness365 have tried a lot of supplements over our years of training and have done enough research to narrow it down to these below that we feel are most beneficial both for your health and your goals.

WHEY PROTEIN: Whey protein is used as a protein supplement.it is very useful for hitting targeted daily protein goals.whey protein is ideal straight after a workout to help grow and repair broken down muscle tissue.again ideally protein from a food source is preferable but whey is a great supplement.

MULTIVITAMIN: We here at DSFitness365 highly reccomend taking a multivitamin to help get those daily micronutrient needs that are vital for both general health and recovery. A lot can be got from your nutritional intake but a multivitamin can provide those vital nutrients that you may not absorb through food.

CREATINE: Creatine can be found in foods such as eggs,salmon and red meat. Our bodies do not produce enough of creatine so we reccomend a daily dosage of 5g. Despite what some say there is no need to cycle creatine just simply consume 5g daily.creatine helps increase both power output and lean mass.

GLUTAMINE: Two of the main benefits of glutamine are that it is very beneficial for your gut health and also your immune system. Simply bumping up your vitamin C and glutamine while under the weather can help alleviate colds and flu’s.it also helps aid with recovery from training.

FISH OIL: Fish oil has a variety of health benefits when supplemented if you are not getting enough fish in your diet. Fish oil can help decrease the risk of diabetes and several forms of cancer while also being very good for your heart,brain function and the joints in your body.highly reccomended here at DSFitness365.

VITAMIN D: Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin that our skin synthesizes when exposed to the sun. It benefits us in many ways from bone health to mood.supplementation can help with immune health and also reduce the risks of cancers and heart disease.Of coarse living in Ireland we don’t have the optimal level of vitamin D with our weather so supplementation is greatly beneficial.

BCAA’S: Lastly we have bcaa’s. These are branched chain amino acids in leucine,isoleucine and valine. While bcaa’s are not essential if your dietary intake is sufficient enough,it can help promote protein synthesis and increase muscle growth over time.it can also be used to prevent fatigue in novice athletes.
