DSPA-Asia Decentralized Storage Accelerator Singapore BootCamp Successfully Concludes Initiating a New Era for Decentralized Storage Business in Asia!

On September 12, 2023, the Decentralized Storage Provider Accelerator for Asia (DSPA-Asia), in collaboration with Protocol Labs, successfully concluded the Asia BootCamp for decentralized storage providers in Singapore, laying a solid foundation for the growth and prosperity of the Filecoin network!

This BootCamp featured top experts from the Web3 industry, including Protocol Labs and the Filecoin Foundation, and experienced leaders in the decentralized storage sector, such as GreaterHeat, ND Labs, New Web Group, and others, who shared their insights firsthand. Additionally, to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the decentralized storage ecosystem, we invited lecturers from globally renowned cloud service provider Huawei Cloud and leading exchange Binance to share their insights during the event.

These guest speakers play various roles in the decentralized storage field. Over the two-day BootCamp, they shared their extensive industry insights and practical experiences, delving deep into the challenges and opportunities currently faced by storage providers. These contributions enriched the content of the BootCamp and provided valuable guidance and direction for the Asian storage business.

This BootCamp has learned from the experience of the previous Bootcamp. In the design of this session, we not only covered decentralized storage but also analyzed topics such as FVM (Filecoin Virtual Machine) and the current real data storage and applications within Filecoin. We also explored the integration of Filecoin with AI, Web3, and other related fields, providing Asian storage providers with a rich and diverse perspective.

This BootCamp attracted over 70 students from various parts of Asia, representing the diversity and vitality of the storage industry in the Asian region. On-site, these students actively engaged in learning and interacting with industry experts, exploring decentralized storage solutions to address the challenges posed by Filecoin’s shift towards real data storage.

On September 12, the founder of IPFS, Juan, visited our BootCamp and conducted an AMA session on-site, providing real-time answers to questions from the attending storage providers. The SPs on-site actively participated, posing questions and engaging in lively discussions inspired by Juan. The atmosphere reached its peak during these continuous exchanges of ideas.

The two-day DSPA-Asia Singapore offline BootCamp ended with everyone gathering for a group photo. The enthusiastic chants of “[DSPA]” and “[Filecoin]” during the photo session served as motivation for everyone to continue advancing in the field of decentralized storage.

The DSPA-Asia BootCamp has provided Asian storage providers with additional knowledge and skills, paving the way for their future business development. Asian storage providers, through their participation in the BootCamp, will apply the knowledge they have acquired to facilitate their transformation and growth, continuously advancing their storage business in decentralized storage for real data.

The successful conclusion of the BootCamp is still ongoing. In the future, DSPA-Asia and Protocol Labs will continue to collaborate, providing more support and opportunities for storage providers in the Asian region.
