Being a person who grew up in church, I always learned that you’re supposed to be a vessel for gods love to shine through to others.
Assuming that this is true, it doesn’t even make sense to do that if there is pain that isn’t fully healed from traumatic past experiences. It’s like a thirsty man drinking contaminated water. How can one experience the “light” you’re told to shine, if you yourself are a broken vessel.
Whatever pain that hasn’t been completely healed is still in you. and will be projected outwards to others whether you’re conscious of it or not.
Your intent can be as pure as gold, but what’s inside will always rise to the surface eventually.
People who think they’re helping you end up sending you their “light” from a contaminated vessel, which can eventually lead up to them projecting a traumatic experience for you. And the cascade of pain continues.
So if you’re supposed to be a vessel for gods love. We are supposed to be our own heroes first and foremost. The healing begins with you first.
