To whom do our sensibilities of civility, our norms of interaction, our political predilections, and cultural predispositions belong to anyway? To the D.C. political class, the often oligarchic top 0.1%, the Ivy League self-regarding 9.9% aristocratic Establishment, or is it to the very masses of all American citizens? Through my eyes, the greatness of the United States is widely distributed across it’s posterity, far beyond the confines of any contemporary social class.
