1. Needfinding

My observations center around the design brief for Change — -electronic devices help people and communities change their behavior to meet their goals. I wanted to learn about the habits of parents around chiildren. I asked my 3 participants to walk me through their daily routines in relation to some sort of life way. I found that parents use electronic to meet their goals.

2.Ideation

Children have become an indispensable part of our life, they give us happiness! But with growing up in the process, parents also encounter a lot of trouble. Often heard around people talking about children’s problems, I am also a mother who has a deep feeling about that. Parents want to know the forefront of education/ health/nursing information, and want to share their parental experience. I want to design a product that can bring convenience to them. So I invited three parents to participate in this brainstorming, hoping to get the deep user needs.

User needs

1. Jie zi needs a way to know the nearby tourist destinations, because she’s going to take her daughter out on the weekends and need to know a lot of interesting place.

2. Jie zi needs a way to know the security of the tourist destinations, because she is worried about his daughter’s personal security.

3. Jie zi needs a way to know the symptoms and protective measures of children’s common disease, because When her daughter was ill, she didn’t know what to do before she went to the hospital.

4. Jie zi needs a way to know how to form the good habit of early to bed and early to rise, because her daughter sleeps late in night, and could not get up in the morning, she has no isea about this.

5. Jie zi needs a way to know the nearby training courses, because she wants to develop her daughter’s special talents.

6. Li jun needs a way to communicate education information with other parents, because he want to get some suggestions from other parents.

7. Li jun needs a way to buy the healthy food for his son, because he dont want his son to eat junk food.

8. Li jun needs a way to remind his son to drink water, because his son always forgets to drink.

9. Li jun needs a convenient way to sell idle toys, because his son dont play with them, and there is no space to store them.

10. Li jun needs a way to write his parental experiences, because he want to keeping all the memories, and hope they can help other parents.

11. Fan xin needs a way to know when to learn calligraphy class for children, because she’s daughter is 7 years old, she dont know whether it is the right time.

12. Fan xin needs a way to register and pay the fee fast in the children training center, because she dont want to wait in line to waste the time.

13. Fan xin needs a way to know his daughter’s school performance, because she worried about her daughter in the school.

14. Fan xin needs a way to check his daughter’s exams results in rel-time, because the paper exam results are always lagging.

15. Fan xin needs a way to limit the amount of time that her daughter spend on the net, because Spending on net for long time is bad for her daughter’s growth.

3.Ideation

POV

Finding a suitable training institution nearby can be difficult, particularly there is no reference and institution list. Parents want to find a better training institution for their children, and the training institutions want more parents to know them. This app seeks to provide an simple way to show the training institutions, and let patrents apply to them.

Use my inspiration to come up with two different design ideas that address my point of view to address a user need. Illustrate each of these ideas with a storyboard.

4.Prototype

Firsr creat paper prototypes, then Using Nielsen’s ten heuristics, evaluators will list as many usability issues as possible and provide a clear and concise description of the issue. According to the results, create a low-fidelity wireframe of the first page of your app

5.Finish the Skeleton, and make a development plan

Create a plan for developing an interactive prototype.

6. Testing the skeleton

For our tests (off line and on line), our main goal is to see how parents and institutions interact with the training course. We have set up a version that institutions can add courses, and parents can enroll the course. We will measure parents can easily enroll,comment,favorate the course, and institutions can submit the trainging course information. If the parents think they can find the course and easily enroll it, then we will measure if the course details are enough. Otherwise we will measure the institution’s need, if it is easy to manage the enrolled course.

List of Changes

· Redisign the course detail page, add Photo module(User cant find the photos), “Comment” have been moved near to “Favarate”. (User think the information and the button should close).

· Change “Apply now” to “ Enroll now”page(User think shoule use the same language ).

· Add “submit” on the preview page. (User want to “submit” there).

· Redesign the certification page, the course details move to the course information(The user think the certification information is important).

· Add the comment number on the detail page(User can see how many comments there).

· Redesign the “preview” page, add Photo module(User can’t find the photos), deletef the discussion module(User think shouldn’t have discussion here).
