Artwork and story:
DaDai are exceptionally creative and sensitive beings who become unstable if they suppress their pronounced emotional states. They are also scientists and explorers, relying on logic and a peculiar substance known as flux to manage their emotional expression and enhance their focus. Additionally, flux, a sacred crystal, aids them in materializing objects.
Unrefined and raw, the flux exists in natural conditions. When they find it, Dadai purify it by having individual and collective meditative sessions acquiring balance and connection with flux.
This activity builds a strong community and mutual bond between them as a positive consequence.
The event that we follow in this comic book episode of DaDai is when their ship gets damaged and inoperable by a gigantic soap that slipped out of the portal and hit their spaceship.
Approximately two-thirds of Dadai need to evacuate to the nearby uninhabited planet, while the others stay onboard and redirect life support energy to repairing.
The situation is dangerous since the ship requires fresh and refined flux to fully prepare for their return home, pressuring people on the planet to get organized and to build a strong community. It will allow them to do two things. Provide enough supplies and organize flux search expedition to happen.
