A Cautionary Tale — A Feminist’s Book — Or a Classic Novel?
S Lynn Knight

I could lend you my copy, but the postage back and forth may be prohibitive. Some comments: I don’t see ‘THT’ as so much a feminist book as an eye-opener to the plight of many women. ‘Feminism’ is such a difficult concept and there are many ‘feminists’ who are not women and who don’t spout ideology – they just live it. Activism os important, as is consciousness raising. Success can be measured in how many people live it and it is unremarkable. And complacency is to be avoided.
