On Mothers, Daughters and the Myth of Persephone
Catherine T Davidson

Myths are so important, especially creation myths.

It is a shame that there are so few mother-daughter myths (discounting the evil stepmothers). We can learn so much from them, as they are so different from all the other stories – especially the ones with sword-wielding men.

I admire how you are approaching your daughter’s teen quest – it’s full of ogres and monsters and, sometimes, hopefully, fairy godmothers.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
