I had quite the same experience, however symptomas occured in reverse compared to you : first growing anxiety, then some panic attacks. I was more feeling like I was not able to think clearly : too many thought in my head, like if my biological PC had bugged. I was feeling like a zombie… and at some point the heart went crazy, etc… I experienced burn out then. So a break from work helped, and a work on myself finished the work.
