On May 1st 2017, tens of thousands of demonstrators gathered in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) to support The May Day demonstration.
Los Angeles is just one of many cities throughout the nation with groups planning to highlight labor issues as well as voice criticism towards President Donald J. Trump and his administration over a wide range of issues.
According to organizers, marchers have been coordinating for months with police to ensure that the event is peaceful. The March started in MacArthur Park and ended on the steps of Los Angeles City Hall.
In anticipation of thousands of people heading to Downtown Los Angeles to participate in the massive May Day March, Los Angeles METRO added additional rail services.
