I’ve just been doing the same thing over the past few days and have encountered similar frustrations! Interestingly, Outlook (which I use for my Hotmail account) now has a built-in unsubscribe option. This is great, however it’s behaviour varies. With some emails it will let me unsubscribe (and delete all emails from my account should I wish too), with others the only option is to ‘Block’ the email address. I find this annoying as sometimes I just want to leave a newsletter but still receive other emails from the source!
