Thank you. You hit upon my pet peeve fairly well. But I think you missed a larger point. I am a “function over form” type of guy anytime.

I usually make a point in terms of “moving graphics” with an argument like this. I go to a website to accomplish some goal; get some information, buy something, do something that I (and I wish there were a larger type style for that “ I”) want to do. I use my time, to look at some website to accomplish my goal. For example I go to the Resmed (https://myair.resmed.com/) to check my sleep statistics. And what does Resmed do? They have scrolling graphics on the main page. What is the purpose of scrolling, or flashing, or moving graphics? It is to distract you to make you look at a different message than what you are looking for. It is classic bait and switch. It is saying “hey stupid” I know what you need better than you do. It is DISRESPECT!!! And for what? So they can advertise a different model of CPAP to a person who already has a CPAP and wont get another one unless his health insurance authorizes it? This is not only disrespect, it is arrogant and plain old STUPID!

I thank you for your article, but you are using a peashooter where an M1 main battle tank would be more appropriate.
