It is also just as much a win for George Lucas, with Star Wars now in the capable hands of Disney they will no doubt truly make it timeless — a feat that Lucas couldn’t have accomplished on his own or even with Lucasfilm. In the end you’re right, Disney will get a lucrative return and Lucas’s precious Star Wars will get the gift of eternal life.
