The truth about Rio-2016 Olympic Games

On the last August 5, we watched *maybe* the most beautiful olympic games opening ceremony it ever existed.

But while we were watching this, earth continued to spin, and reality was on it’s normal course happening.

But What’s Brazil reality right now?

I’m sorry if this topic makes you feel bad, but, it’s rare an episode where truth makes someone feels good.

Well.

Brazil has always been a country where people suffer because of bad government, and the sides it defenses.

Since the beginning of it’s history, it has a lot of happenings that prove how unorganized it always have been.

People live in poor conditions, some even live without eletric power. Without the amount of water they need to drink, bath, or even brush their teeth.

But the reality is always hidden. Sometimes by the giant Media of Organizações Globo (the biggest media group from South America) and another ones. And a part of population is manipulated by its information, news, and way of being.

Behind all this, is Rio-2016.

It’s showed as a advance for the country. When, truly, it’s a backspace.

“But Dan.. a lot of tourists are here, money is coming in a good hour, this exchange of cultures is always good… please. Don’t be a pessimistic!”

I agree. Everything you mentioned is good. But, even though it’s good, we can’t use it as a mask.

People think we are introducing to foreign folks the best of our country. But guys, WE AIN’T!

We are introducing how our country really are. And (forgetting all those tourists who only come here to enjoy sex tourism, think that brazilian woman are bitches and that only want to have the freedom they usually don’t find on their country) most of common tourists will lie if they tell you they aren’t suffering or have suffered something. Since a assault till some kind of rape trying.

Brazil is wrong more once. For trying to lie again to the world. For trying to show a good image, when in real world, neither us, “brazilians” (forgetting the culture, nature beauty…) would like to live in a country with violence, police, politicians and all the rest we have here. Now and then we feel ashamed of how it works.

Many of you must be thinking: “It’s a crazy guy. He says bad things about his own country”.

My answer: I’m only saying the truth. And I ain’t saying bad things about it. I’m telling you the reality. If the hurts or not, that’s up to you.

And the reality is:

“Olympic Games are what we suffer every day on this land, and are obligated to handle.

Athlete is the poor housewife who has to save most of her money to pay expensive for a eletric power bill, and take a high % of this money to buy food, clothes and all the rest. Sometimes this housewife only live with 50 dollars, or less.

Athletes are us, brazilians. Who have to play everyday. Some choose to win, others to lose. Some have the opportunity to win, others only to lose.

Olympic Games, are everyday.

Thus, tell me: Are you Olympic?
