The Misuse of Language, The Rise of “Party-Speak,” and Ultimate Concerns

A War for America’s Reason

More than 75 years have passed since the oblivion of 1939, and yet after suffering a Nazi Germany — which systematically swallowed 6 million souls in the most logistical manner possible — it would appear the consequent lesson of language misuse in politics is being forgotten or is being ignored.

As current affairs now stand, America is poised to suffer from similar misuse of language on both its “fronts.” There is a war for words and their combined linguistic territory and Reason is losing ground to a bilaterally eroding political landscape.

As a complicit member in this war for words, I will endeavor to make clear the sordid use of American English and the ensuing political consequence of a nation divided by an unfit and uncommon language.

Now, I am not the first writer to venture into the theme of this essay, nor will I be the last — and being the successor, I’d like to utilize two remarkable essays written by Aldous Huxley and George Orwell, respectively.
