This is only true if you try to use React and jQuery to manipulate the exact same DOM element. A lot of the time, React and jQuery can live happily alongside each other on the same page with no issues. You can even render a jQuery component inside a React component if you’re careful with how you manage the components - your wrapper component should always return false from “shouldComponentUpdate” so that React never messes with its DOM,
