I Am A Donut:

Hey, I just graduated from BYU too! You, sir, are hilarious, and I loved this post.

You know what’s crazy? Before coming to BYU, I always thought being gay was just a “lifestyle choice”. I became a neuro major, and it was actually my LDS science professors who taught me that homosexuality is biological and can even be seen neurologically. It was an eye-opening experience for me to realize that being gay is part people’s natures. I wish everyone actually knew this! Knowing this has given me way more compassion for people.

I think if the actual professors were allowed to make administrative changes, BYU would be a much more welcoming place for people from all walks of life. For some reason, 1970s guidelines are rarely tampered with.

Anyway, I don’t know where I’m going with this comment. But I hope you have a great time on the east coast or west coast… or maybe Boulder.
