Ha! another history buff friend clued me into Cato’s Carthage Destruction Non-Sequitor a while ago and I’d actually worked it into my next story about Baal (along with the always-fun topic of infant offerings to Baal-Hamon).

That Parthian chicken sounds delicious (another fun fact: the Phoenicians were pioneers of the garum trade). I once tried to make a Persian roast chicken but it ended up tasting like soap from the damn rosewater…
