You might want to consider reducing the size of your images. 2.3MB is way too much. It could take someone in Afrika over 10 seconds to just load the image. I know it’s async loaded, but since it’s so large (visually), you don’t see the content below and people would wait for it to load.

Besides speed, it very pricey for your customers in Canada ($0.37) and Japan as you can see at whatdoesmysitecost . com.
I bet it’s costing you viewers as well (check your statistics).
