Winter
he warm weather has passed way too quickly but the joys of winter are approaching.
I was unaware of the chance of snow the other night and to my surprise when I had to take my dogs out to use the bathroom there was large snow flakes beginning to coat the ground.
The cold snowflakes hit my face as I walked around the lawn with my two small Chihuahuas.
I’m unsure about whether I find the snow upsetting, or if I’m happy about it. I think maybe I feel a little of both.
The summer and fall quickly passed and now we’re off to a cold, and with my luck, a slippery winter. The worst part about winter is the ice. It quickly takes over the ground and makes me fear for my life both in the car and on my feet. I always seem to manage falling on the ice while walking somewhere at least 4–5 times a winter.
Though the cold is coming, the beauty of the snow and the joy of spending more time with my family for the holidays evens out the downfalls of the winter approaching. The big dinners, hot chocolate and time spent with my loved ones makes all the cold worthwhile.
