Yes that’s right, LocalNotifications are not send to a server but are handled by the OS directly. There are three functions (presentLocalNotification, scheduleLocalNotification and cancelAllLocalNotifications) in the PushNotificationIOS docs which are the implementation of LocalNotifications in React-Native. I believe that those are the only ones that are currently available for LocalNotifications in React-Native.
