The story about your father’s date amused me no end, though I’m sure the result was no amusement to him. I’m sure I must have dated guys like this when I was young, but would have been so put off by the faux pas there would not have been a second. I should have given these guys a second chance.

As an ADHD type, I overlap with many of the symptoms above, and the difficulties. The difference is that Aspies can concentrate for long periods of time and I cannot, which is why to date I have not produced anything significant, though the ideas and probably talent are there. Had I married an Aspie, he may have helped me. Advice for the young: take the second date.
