Eagles begin preseason at The Pods
Tomorrow (Sunday 4th September) the Danum Eagles will host a preseason tournament at their new home of The Pods in Scunthorpe. The tournament will feature Leeds Force of the BBL and Bradford Dragons of NBL1, seeing the Eagles go up against elite opposition in an attempt to prepare for what will no doubt be a challenging season in NBL2.
Eagles fans will also get an opportunity to see former Eagles star, Rob Marsden who has renewed his contract with Leeds Force for the upcoming season. Bradford Dragons have also recruited well this summer so fans can expect to see some high quality basketball.
The Eagles squad will feature a host of new faces and some very familiar ones as the core of the squad over the last two seasons remains.
Squad List: Mathew Martin, Tom Hodson, Arron Price, Josh Metcalf, Paul Walsh, George Colwill, Mark Baker, Robin Hewson, Scott Richards, Minde Razma, Joe Lister.
The action will start around 1pm at The Pods on Ashby Road in Scunthorpe. It is free for spectators to attend although the upstairs viewing balcony will be the only place available.
