Talking about material things in love makes many people scoff. They think love and material things are not the same thing. Once love is filled with money, it changes and isn’t pure anymore.

Especially for some men, they really dislike women who value material things. They think these women aren’t sincere. Even if they’re together, it’s all fake.

In a relationship, if a woman argues with a man about money, the man gets really annoyed. He thinks she’s too materialistic. He thinks she cares more about “money” than his true feelings.

But for women, when it comes to love, if they only care about a man’s true feelings and don’t care about material things at all, it’s like gambling. If you win, you’re happy. If you lose, you’re miserable.

“Beijing Love Story” has a line: “Love isn’t a castle in the sky. It needs a strong material foundation as its base and security.”

Love without material support is like a castle in the sky. It looks beautiful, but it’s not real. It can’t fit into real life.
