This is a management style issue not a referendum on the whole program. Builds still come out on a pretty regular pace, bug hunts, and feedback tools have improved greatly, and there is more of a community feeling to the program than ever before. This is still Microsoft and all the pit-falls and problems that go along with Microsoft still exist as they have in the past and as they always will. Is there room for more numbers and charts? Maybe. But the team including Dona is pretty good about responding to reasonable questions no matter where she is in the world or what she’s doing.

Insiders4Good is about showing people this stuff we are testing actually makes a difference in the real world, it’s really changing lives. Personally it inspires me to keep going with the Insider Program.

As far as getting “technical” they are doing more than the occasional live stream, actually there were two this week and there have people in from different teams that get pretty deep in the woods about their areas, and respond to questions from the live chat. Also you find out things like a website coming for just Insiders, and what problems they are facing with builds etc. I don’t know, maybe the author needs to examine his participation level?

Anyway, I think Gabe was Great and Dona is Great as well they just do things a little differently. Writing this and putting it on Medium was sort of a dick move to me, if you really wanted to make change why not bring it up in the community instead of trying to generate buzz and controversy on another platform.
