My theory is that poor sanitation on Dark Side facilities has lead to dismal water quality, which in turn has lead to widespread brain damage. What else explains the Empire/First Order’s continuing to pour more resources into ever larger weaponized planets with same basic obvious design flaw—namely that the whole unit can be blown up by a few geeks with light weapons?
