I once thought to figure out what power a historical Jesus might’ve actually had, and following the idea of a Ministry of Love (as opposed to the kind of fearful gods that abounded back in the day) I thought that it would be a great power to be able to see the Love in everyone, and if everyone saw that Love within you, that you would have a true power (since power is not as we often think, Money is not power. Power is what people give to you. Power resides in the Other Person. Hence we can pay someone money to get them to give us obedience etc, but it’s not the Money that is the power, it’s still the persons choice.) So I did an experiment of looking at any and everyone I came across and tried to see them as if THEY were loving something (a puppy, a baby, a person…) I tried to see the Love in them.

It’s made me a much more compassionate person towards others, and considerably more tolerant of people.
