Thank you for this, Sally. I too believe that prayer is how we speak to God and that His word is how he speaks to us. It seems, however, that with the how hectic my life is anymore that I it slips my mind more often than not. Daily I recite the Lord’s prayer with children and we give a brief prayer of thanks and requests. So, While I do pray I often don’t give thanks (as I mentioned in the article about praying for our food).
