Thank you for your response, Benjamin. This post was written awhile ago but some of the feelings still haunt me from time to time. This year I started off reading this plan. As time went on and life got extremely busy, as it can with three kids, I cut back to the New Testament readings of the plan with the kids. I just don’t feel I’m seeking God in that brief reading.

As far as prayer goes, I recite the Lord’s prayer with my kids every night and we give a brief prayer of thanks and requests. This too just doesn’t feel like the heartfelt prayers prayed in the psalms. I'm sure we all go through phases like this and I know God is faithful and will bring me through it. Thank you for reading.
