I totally agree, and it’s only made worse by the number of sequels and copycat games we have today. I stopped playing Call of Duty games a while ago because they were just boring, even though I loved the series up through Modern Warfare 2.

I often wonder if developers feel the same way. Like, if you’re working on your fifth CoD title, do you even care anymore? Can you still find something to be passionate about? Is it just a job at this point?
