This is EXACTLY the way I feel about cameras. For the vast majority of users, image quality has not gotten demonstrably better in the past five years, maybe longer. And it likely won’t get better, not because the tech is stagnant, but because human evolution is. Our eyes are only so good, and there’s only so much left to do that will actually make a noticeable difference. So manufacturers keep cramming in “features,” to the point where the average user doesn’t need 50% of the stuff the camera does anymore — but they’re still paying for it.

Anyway, off topic rant, but I was just, uh, illustrating my empathy… that’s what I was doing.
