You wouldn’t be the first to try this, and I applaud the sentiment. I founded my firm with essentially the same values. The problem with this approach is simple and painful — IDIQ contract vehicles and the government preference for shell companies associated with disadvantaged people. The worst question in government work to answer as an innovative company is, “how do I get to you?” If you were to do this, it would have to be as an 8(a), meaning, unless you are disadvantaged in some way socially, you would have to give control of your company to someone who could then fire you.
