20–51% of something is a whole more than 100% of nothing.
…Or something mediocre.

Equity.

Sometimes we are caught up in the dilemma of having co-founder(s), or being the chief executive of all. We must understand, and smarty discern when we cannot build something solely by ourselves.

The truth is, there’s no best way of structuring your business, but from experience.. In this digital age we belong to, even our most biased and mediocre thoughts, ideas and principles that we want to build our companies on can be backed up by facts, stats and opinions that exist out there. Hence we need to refine our ideas and build dynamic and game changing business models, this often happens in deliberation / brainstorming sessions with someone (or persons) who isn’t necessarily on the same page with you always, but understand your vision, and is a stake holder in it.

The idea (ideologies) of one man, may only be good enough to “craft” the vision and build a culture of an organisation.

But remember the grand scheme of things, be able to fire your co-founder(s), but strictly out of non performance.. Not greed or emotions.
