The Three Phases of the Arlington Downs Project
Chicago resident David Trandel, a graduate of the University of Iowa, has worked as an investment and finance professional for 30 years. Also an entrepreneur, David Trandel co-founded the Trilogy Capital Income Fund, Madison Securities, and Chicago-based Springbank Capital Advisors, where he currently serves as chairman and CEO.
Springbank Capital Advisors invests in the growth of transit-oriented developments (TOD), which are mixed-use communities with easy access to public transportation. Springbank Capital maintains a portfolio of projects in the Chicago region that includes 1900 West Lawrence, One Winnetka, and Arlington Downs.
Arlington Downs, located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, is a $300 million mixed-use development that covers 27 acres. The development of the project has been divided into three phases.
Phase one involved the conversion of the former Sheraton Hotel into a luxury apartment building consisting of 214 units. Phase two encompassed the addition of retail and entertainment amenities such as restaurants, cinemas, and a gym. Phase three will entail construction of additional apartment.
