A surprise? not really. With the innovation done in computing, graphics and engineering, the door was wide open for a new way of Advertisement and Marketing.

So how can 3D visuals turn an ordinary idea into a great one, captivate people and influence emotions?

Throughout our life, we have been exposed to visuals. Some of them have been powerful enough to influence our emotions and actions. Please understand me; all methods of advertising the brand have something exciting to offer. We still can see the genius behind classic(not to say old) billboards.

It’s when 3D billboards are something special, magic that exceeds static and digital ads.

Maybe ten years from now, they will also be considered the base, quite standard, but they are magic right now!

Imagine billboards :

  • With interactive content that can be seen from all angles.
  • That reacts to the weather.
  • That uses motion sensors to create a more interactive experience.
  • That changes appearance based on the time of day.
  • That can show different ads based on current events.

How does it work?

The recipe: All of us wonder how 3D can add those effects, capture people’s attention right away, and create another dimension in terms of customer experience. Memorable, mesmerizing, impressive, and easy to recall!

3D artwork is all about textures, like projectiles and holograms in 3D movies.

You put a traditional billboard, a large static outdoor advertising structure, generally in a high-traffic area. You add ultra-realistic 3d technology, your usual attractivity /engagement purpose, passion and creativity; You mix it, yes, yes, you add money and obtain this:

Different styles or different texture methods:

3d billboards may include one or more of the following:

  • Optical illusions like anamorphosis or forced perspective. Optical illusions use the surrounding environment to create a 3D effect without needing materials like special glasses or lenses. An example of this would be when an image is placed on an advertising board, and the image appears to be far away. Still, in reality, it is pretty close to the viewer. Usually, images featuring depth are used for this style of 3D.
  • Physically altered billboards like changing frames. Another way to create a 3D billboard would be physically altering the billboard itself. This can include things like creating a hole in the middle of the board and placing a flat-screen television inside it so that when someone is standing on the other side of the billboard, they can see what is being shown on the television. This can also include making two images appear as one, such as a two-sided sign.
  • Transparency. The third and final significant way to create a 3D billboard would be through transparent or framed billboards. These include putting a person in front of the image so that the image appears behind them or placing an image behind a window.

Why are they a good investment?

  1. AUDIENCE: is greater. People pay attention to 3D billboards because they feel they are part of the story.
  2. RECALL YOUR BRAND. Due to the higher level of realism, the audience is more likely to recall the brand. This is because the brain registers a 3D object as a tangible object rather than a 2D image. The brain processes 3D images better than 2D images. This is why people remember more brands on 3D billboards than 2D billboards. Let’s add that it also creates a positive brand experience.
  3. The most crucial EXPOSURE TIME. In a traditional billboard, the exposure time is limited by the rotation of the billboard. In a 3D billboard, the exposure time depends on how long people stay in front of the billboard to look at it.

The Balenciaga fashion house is famous for its innovative and creative designs. This year, the brand came up with a campaign that combines the best of both worlds.

Author Robert Jordan’s sprawling fantasy saga, “The Wheel of Time,” is one of the world’s most popular fantasy book series. The series has sold over 90 million copies worldwide, and the 14 titles have been translated into over 40 languages. The series is so popular that Amazon Studios decided to develop a TV show based on it. But how will they convince viewers to watch? The answer is a massive billboard that shows a sneak peek at the show’s stars. The billboard was created by the marketing agency Amplify. It features snippets of dialogue from the series and the show’s stars, including Alyssa Sutherland and Rafe Spall, who play Moiraine and Thom.

Seoul, South Korea’s most impressive billboard. The world’s largest LED display was unveiled at the Seoul SMTown COEX building. The impressive billboard is located on the top of the building and is made up of five LED screens measuring 35,912 square feet. It’s reportedly the largest LED display in the world. However, there are some pretty breathtaking LED billboards elsewhere, including this gigantic billboard in Times Square (New York City) and this LED billboard in Dubai.

CONCLUSION

3D LED billboards are a new type of outdoor advertising, allowing advertisers to utilize a previously thought impossible and unbreachable space. Future to monitor and control city infrastructure, traffic, and more. Besides being a tremendous advertising tool, they could make city life easier, safer, and more efficient. Technology is still in its infancy, but it is inevitable that it will be one of the most important new developments in outdoor advertising and will significantly impact the future of advertising.
