Thanks Alex, great post. I was reading this I kept thinking about my favourite teachers at primary school and (‘high’) school. You learn from people who inspire you to act and think like them.

Miss H and two Mr Ds were excellent story tellers, and always asked me questions that pushed how we think. I was never given a long list of dates (a common misconception about studying history).
