Ancient Rhegium: Brilliant Civilization Fell Down

The establishment date of the ancient city Rhegium is not known, but it seems to be the cradle of a brilliant civilization in the brutal era. Back then, a devout man climbed from the earth's core to heaven and prayed to the gods to grant him hope. The gods cut off the peak of the nearest mountain to heaven and put a perfect city on the mesa, giving it to the devoted follower, who named it Rhegium and began to call himself “The Overlooking King”.

Rhegium’s prosperity and wealth attracted many pilgrims, but the high and mighty King indulged in possessions and vanity increasingly. He consciously claimed that he was out of the ordinary, while gradually restricting outsiders from entering the city.

A man who was shut out of Rhegium, filled with resentment, vowed to make the Overlooking King regret it. He followed the King’s route to the heavens, and the gods also granted him. But instead of asking for a city the same as Rhegium, the begrudging man Rhegium begged for the city’s doom.

One night, countless meteors fell from the sky, and till dawn, only ruins remained of Rhegium.

Rhegium: Rebirth from Ruin

But Rhegium didn’t disappear. Many years later, some people began to try to rebuild the city and found the treasure buried under Rhegium, regaining some glory of the place.

The Dilapidated Shrine

Despite the ever-burning sacred fire and the mysterious dome, the temple became increasingly decayed in the age of faithlessness. But the dignity of the gods was still inviolable. Giant statues of the gods towered here, watching these travelers from all places, reminding them of the importance of reverence.

Gods bless their believers. Make a wish everyday to have a chance to receive mysterious treasure boxes.

Treasure Chambers

Although Rhegium was destroyed in one night, the treasure buried in the ground by the former Overlooking King was spared. As the last mystery left to the world by the King, these treasures were hidden in secret chambers, spreading all over the city, scattered like stars.
