True. Meditation does help to calm my mind down. It might be very different for some people, they can be though-less if they wanted to.
But for some of us (like me), meditation is a good way to train my mind to go to calm down. Even just for 10 minutes a day, I found it’s a huge achievement to be able to control my mind and put more focus on my body especially my breaths.
